About p'alante
For me, this is a feeling similar to what a person experiences when making music because in each design, I express something, a part of myself or my mood. It may be temporary, but at the moment of drawing, designing, embroidering, or promoting something has made me feel that way, and indirectly, I try to convey that to others through my clothing.
Since I was a kid, I've always been fascinated by the idea of making clothes and starting a brand. At 15, I was already making T-shirts with my brother and a group of friends. After trying a thousand things and getting involved in a bunch of plans that didn't go anywhere, two years ago, three friends and I bought an embroidery machine.
I started making T-shirts and offering them among my circle. I wasn't sure if I was ready to give it a brand name, so I began embroidering my signature "Dirty" on each garment while learning and figuring out where I wanted to go.
Being a small brand, I struggled to find quality clothing at a good price. Suppliers ignored me or asked for quantities I couldn't afford. That's when, with the initiative of my mother, I got into the "upcycling" scene.
We started buying second-hand clothes, allowing me to access much nicer garments while also doing something for the planet. Now, with the project renamed "p'alante," every garment we release is unique, giving it an exclusive touch.
The name p'alante represents an entire generation that pushes 'forward,' following their passions, creating things, and working hard to pursue what they love in a world that often encourages going with the flow.
Why buy another new garment when we can give a second life to an abandoned piece of clothing?
